What has he done for DBS?? 15 Reply 2 replies @ktlim1123 1 month ago Lanjiao all knn take opportunity like papigs 14 Reply 1 reply @CCLow-jr7um 1 month ago (edited) The real reason why the Singapore PAP government took him in to head DBS has got nothing to do with any special talent or experience that Gupta has and would be bringing them over for the bank's benefit. Nothing of that at all. Talent and experience there are many out there globally and with a paycheck offer of $15m per year they are many to select from. So, why Gupta? Well, it has all got to do with the PAP government's looking westwards towards India. They have more or less "conquered" China and the ripple effect from there is slowly dying down. So it's India that the government are now trying to cast the net. They are depending on Gupta to bring in the big businesses from India with his connections. And that is why for the past decade the government has been opening up to India with soft policies. The influx of Indian expats at mid management level, not so much top level, has seen them filling the job vacancies here. As for India-Singapore business tie ups, a few in the pipeline, like the one involving Tata which proved elusive, and others, most of which fizzled out. It looks like the India hinterland, after more than a decade of wooing, is still only a potential and the fish that got away. Gupta's contribution in this area doesn't look illustrious and he knows his time is up and doesn't wait for a direct show to the door. At least this part I would say he has the talent. 41 Reply 6 replies @teo88888able 1 month ago FAILURES TRAILS 6 Reply @bernadobilly1322 2 weeks ago Dbs objective is to become a global bank like HK hsbc n standard chartered bank so appointed Citibank present CEO believing that he will help the bank become a global one but 15 years later it is just a Asia bank in 19 markets around the world .The only things the bank achieve is to have so many outages since 2021 and yet the CEO is still around sitting on it's big fat bonus shares and salary hsbc operates in 62 countries standard chartered 59 2 Reply @user-wp5vs7tl6d 4 weeks ago Their ancestors were snake charmers 10 Reply @user-sq9cf2bm6n 5 days ago CAREFUL INDIANS!!! ... 1 Reply @user-lh7yv2os6n 1 month ago What do you mean it boils down to one man? Just as I /we, the citizens of SG think so !!! 2 Reply @Naturehays 1 month ago Ocbc bank also had so many issues, I would think local banks are not so great 3 Reply @user-gd4wt6oi7y 2 weeks ago In simple terms... because lot out there do not understand.. Banks cannot have huge cache of cash lying in vaults, it's rotated around with or without account holders knowledge, almost all Banks do that.. today if saudi or other middle east or any BIG revenue account would ask for their entire cache lying around in usa Banks or wherever they are, Bankers would do "tatti' in their chaddis.. But clever Bankers in rotating keep that eventuality in mind so their so called investments in others have to be very cleverly cunningly put together.. that in case of withdrawals they are able to do"idhar ka udhar' successfully... that's all ,if they are caught and cannot give BIG account holders their asked for funds, that is of course at once dismissal and labeled frauds. It created a very positive impression. However, after reading the hateful, venomous, and racist comments in this post, especially those targeting certain races or groups, I am slightly stunned. It’s disheartening to see that while people may appear nice on the outside, there is so much negativity and prejudice lurking beneath the surface. It’s a reminder that even in places that seem perfect, there is still a lot of work to be done to address these deep-seated issues. 1 Reply @TKL95 2 weeks ago DBS will become a third class bank in Singapore. They have wrong approach of the recruitment program and policies. Many of them who using the fake degree which the university which claim they attended but doesn't exist at all. Singapore university are world ranking top 10-20. We don't have talent? Why hire someone with very low ranking out of 159-500 ranking in the world who are third world country come to the developing country of Singapore? Most of the organisation adopted CRONYISM POLIES for their hiring policies and program, and most of our domestic talent from top 10 graduate University candidates all couldn't find the decent job in their own country. Does it ring a bell something very fishy and plenty of monkey business going on?????? Reply @sepa3740 3 weeks ago Why Malay land full of ceena and split Ceenapore? Why other 2 banks only Ceena? Longevity often seek by human, a desire to live longer when conditions are good. However man is not in control of conditions and therefore have to accept nature as it is and take changes as it may happened and be prepared to accept them. Welcome the nature when it appeared. To be replaced is nature and therefore accept it as nature and go with nature as it is now and in future. Everyone will experience this nature with easy if you can accept nature as it is.
