Whatever happens to Mr Duterte with ICC, it has nothing to do with his daughter. The people can still vote for his daughter and i believe the call will even be stronger now.
I just finished watching Prof Anna on Dr. david's Channel and When I saw this one i imeediately hit play. Yay for more insight and knowledge from Anna ️️️️
"Only in the Philippines could a leader like Ferdinand Marcos, who pillaged his country for over 20 years, still be considered for a national burial."
- Lee Kuan Yew (Singapore)
Thus these expressions: "Thick as thieves" and "Honour among thieves."
Hi. Fernando. I like your guest. She does an excellent job narrating this entire saga which is the abduction or kidnapping of president Duterte.
Let's see if the Filipinos will rise up and send Marcos jr fleeing to the US military base. I guess the new people's army might have to be reactivated.
Such an honest & open discussion....well done. I support fmr President Duterte and the current Vice President Sarah Duterte!! It's over due already as it's now time to remove Bong bong and install Vice President Sarah as President to restore an honest & working & caring democratic government!
Bagkus. That traitor in Malacañang send FRRD in a silver platter using men in uniform with a tactical gear, like a battalion. It was an illegal, overkill arrest. It was kidnapping
Why didn't the people come to his rescue while he was under forced detention before the flight to the Hague? The people of the Phines had allowed this to happen. They also elected a president which comes from an extremely corrupt family. So they have only themselves to blame.
My sympathies go to the People of the Philippines. Your country is a Sovereign Nation with its own judicial system. So the people of the Philippines should make a judgement call.
These days when ICC pops up, I question everything. This has been something I don't know much about, thank you for doing an interview about this. Good to have something western world hardly mentions.
They do this to every global south country. You can not ignore the agency that people have. How can anyone defend people against the external threats when people just chicken out when they are being prosecuted and punished for defending them.
Imran khan was the defender of people of Pakistan. He is prosecuted for exactly that. The people of Pakistan are to blame for not protecting him. If people are not fighting for their rights, then they don't deserve one.
The father ran away from the Philippines, taking the country coffer money, leaving the country penniless. Like father, like son.
Should be like Singapore.
While Singapore takes action against individuals with links to the country who are the subject of an Interpol Red Notice, it's important to note that a Red Notice is not an arrest warrant, and Singapore's police can only act upon an extradition request made under an extradition treaty.
Marco is not very smart, is he. He forgot hat in a few years he will not be president anymore and that what happened to Duterte might happen to him as well and that he himself might find himself in a Filipino jail.
Marcos senior killed Aquino in the 80s, Marcos Junior is trying to do the same thing to that poor old man today.
Like father, like son.
Poor philippinos have to sing 'Anak' again......
Indeed, Marcos is a natural liar. He always does. All of the promises he said during his campaign back in 2022, none of them came to reality. That's the fact.
Marcos Jr. Obeys all orders from the U.S., wishing that by so doing, when U.S. feels benevolent, he may be able to get back the vast amount of wealth his father reaped from the Philippine people by rampant corruption.
I don't have any political affiliation with any political party or politician even here in the US. I don't trust any politician and that's why i have always been an independent. I looked at the history of Marcos Jr and the dutertes and their recent beef with each other. This wreaks of a political hit. The ICC has no jurisdiction over the Philippines just like it doesn't have any jurisdiction over us here in the US. It just goes to show that the ICC is just another propaganda tool and politically motivated organization. Just the thought of a foreign court issuing a warrant of arrest for a citizen of another country should raise questions for anyone. I sure wouldn't want to be taken against my will by people who think I'm a criminal and wisked away to a foreign land to be tried and prosecuted in a kangaroo court
The Philippines needs a true leader that serves its people and the country, not a liar. I hope Bongbong Marcos doesn't follow in his father's footsteps.
The present government of the Philippines seems to have embraced the American colonial mindset to their detriment. I do not know which leaders in the world that the Filipinos would listen to, but they need urgent help, or we will be seeing even greater division and confusion in the country.
Thank you Fernando and Anna for this informative discussion / video. I agree that the lies and then cooperation of the Marcos regime with the ICC undermines the sovereignty as well as the judicial system of the Philippines. However, after reading the very serious charges (section 5) against Duterte / ("DDS") filed in the ICC arrest warrant I wonder why the specific charges were not discussed here. I think a "strong emphasis of peace and order" to combat crime is reasonable , however, I would assume that "murder, torture, and rape" as alleged in the warrant, would NOT be considered justifiable. With these ALLEGATIONS against Duterte and "DDS" I would assume the ICC has considerable "evidence" to prosecute such claims. With such a high profile case I would assume the charges are not grounded in false accusations. I really do not know for certain. The specific "evidence'" against Duterte has yet to be presented / published. Any thoughts on the initial charges as outlined in the ICC arrest warrant? Are they completely FALSE CHARGES?
The fact that Duterte was arrested the same way Meng Wangzhou was just shows who or what country is behind this move. Obama is just showing the world that he is not to be disrespected.
Also, isn't this kidnapping act an impeachable offense, since the President is charged with protecting ALL Filipino citizens. Is it not true that the Philippine government cannot extradite any person unless that person committed the same crime in the Philippines? As far as is known, ex-President Duterte has never been charged with homicide, much less genocide or any human rights violations.
It's all about the US behind the scenes. Both Russia and China can consider lending their hands to the Philippines , but since China and the Philippines have disputes over the south china sea issues, and Russia is a better option
This woman is well paid by the CCP to align interest, and she is liar. This man's clip is incomplete, because clearly what BBM said is that helped the interpole, but it has so happened that the interpole is from the ICC. Mr. Fernando, complete your clip when you show your clip to the public.
